Old Crow House Concerts
OLD CROW is on hiatus till the Spring of 2012
The inspiration for our 1st House Concert was a quiet West Vancouver coffee shop where we were able to feel like part of the experience. The entertainer was Ron Campbell, A Skinny Old White Man Who Sings the Blues. This was August 2005 and a month later we hosted Ron at our first concert. It started slowly but now that we are retired Lorraine and I are working at becoming folk/blues music Aficionados. The two of us have found no better way to listen to music that we have a passion for, than up close and personal at a House Concert. We figured if we would build or organize it they will come!!
Our home is located in the Central Lonsdale area of North Vancouver. There is room for 35-40 music enthusiasts tightly and cosily seated in the living room. The guest musician reaps 100% of the donation of the evening. We host the music because of our love of music and also seeing people tuned into an entertainer they might not have listened to before.
